The Anniston Community Education Foundation (ACEF) is the primary host of the Kevin Thompson Scholarship Fund.

Mr. Thompson, a highly respected 29-year-old 3rd-grade teacher at Wellborn Elementary School, met a tragic death on April 29, 2011.  He was well known throughout the Calhoun County area as a compassionate, deeply caring young man who was dedicated to helping others.

The need-based scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Anniston, Wellborn, Saks, and Oxford High Schools. Eligible candidates will be those students who wish to further their education in Music or Education. Participation in ACEF's Youth Coalition will also be considered.

Contributions to the Kevin Thompson Scholarship Fund may be sent to the ACEF. Please earmark the donation to the “Kevin Thompson Scholarship Fund.”
