Cassie Helms joined ACEF as Director of Programs in September of 2015 after working with the Foundation's Calhoun County AmeriCorps Initiative in 2014/15.  She became ED in October, 2016.  Prior to ACEF, Cassie served with AmeriCorps at the Learning Community Charter School in Central Falls, RI.

Cassie earned her BS in Anthropology from Emory University in 2006, her Masters of Arts in Teaching with a focus on secondary Biology from Agnes Scott College in 2008, and her Masters of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology in 2012.

Cassie is a die-hard New England sports fan and a self-avowed scifi/fantasy geek. She's happy any time to talk sports, video games, movies, and books with the Foundation's Youth Coalition members!

Andrea Groce joined ACEF in April of 2017.  She is the mother of two amazing boys, Clenon (10) and Caden (20mths).  She has been in the military for 13 years with one deployment to Iraq in 2008.  She has traveled across the country with military tours over the past years.  She received her commission as an Officer from Jacksonville State University in 2014.  She is currently serving in the Army Reserves as a First Lieutenant at 5th Medical Brigade in Birmingham Alabama.
Andrea earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Healthcare Management in 2012 from American Intercontinental University.  She loves helping the community and working with children. She enjoys being a mother, spending time with her two children, going to church, reading, watching her favorite TV shows and traveling.
