Scholarship Information
The ACEF Scholars Program provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors from within the Anniston PCB Site impacted area and is funded through (a) the ACEF Scholarship Fund, (b) the Kevin Thompson Fund, and (c) Alabama Power - Calhoun Power Company (Calhoun County area). Scholarships are available to students pursuing a course of study at either a two-year or four-year higher education institution. Awards range in amounts from $500 - $2000 and may be renewable contingent upon available funding and program stipulations. All scholarship checks are sent directly to the recipient's educational institution. Applicants may not be related to any ACEF staff or members of ACEF's Board of Directors. Scholarship recipients must also attend ACEF's scholarship orientation.
High School Seniors
All applicants must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0
A strong academic record or be able to demonstrate improvement over their time in high school,
20 hours of community service
Renewable Funding for Returning Scholars
All returning scholars must be in good academic standing and have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0
Submit official transcripts with a new scholarship application
Returning scholars must complete a minimum of five (5) hours of community service
