Program Description
STEAM-Tastic Introduces and integrates STEAM learning into the Early Learning curriculum for kindergarten students at participating schools. Specifically, STEAM-Tastic uses Science, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking at an early learning level. Through a series of hands-on activities, the program aims to improve early awareness and interest in STEAM at an early age.
Program Objectives
Integrate STEAM into early learning by exposing students to "STEAM Heroes" in Science, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics.
Integrate STEAM into early learning to improve early awareness and interest in STEAM by guiding student inquiry that fosters exploration and discovery.
Provide supplemental STEAM instruction to help guide student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking at an early learning level.
Program Requirements
Must be enrolled in a participating school district
Must be in Kindergarten
Must be able to participate in club activities 1-2 hours per week
